Furnace Installation
We understand that buying a furnace can be a tough decision and a home investment that needs careful evaluation. That’s where you can rely on us to help support you through the process of purchasing a new furnace.
One of our Expert HVAC Solutions team members will walk you through all the options that you have and show you what each furnace is capable of doing, helping you choose the furnace that is right for your home and your budget.
Don’t wait until your home furnace breaks down in the middle of winter and you are scrambling to install a new furnace fast. If you have an old or struggling furnace, call us today to schedule a replacement with Expert HVAC, the leading choice for furnace installations in Calgary.
Here’s what to look for when buying a new furnace:
The Right Size
Did you know that different houses need different furnace sizes? Installing the right-sized furnace is key to having enough heat in your house while not overspending. If your furnace is too small, it will not heat your entire house properly probably making you wonder if the furnace is still working! However, having a furnace that is too big is also not good. While you will have no heating problems, you will be wasting fuel and money on generating heat that you don’t actually need.
To determine the proper size, you can contact one of our reliable, accredited HVAC technicians to come in and do an in-house evaluation. Our heating professionals can tell you the optimum sized furnace for your home.
AFUE Rating
When shopping for a new furnace, make sure to look at the Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency (AFUE) rating, which indicates what percentage of the energy used is being converted to heat. The higher the rating, the more energy-efficient the furnace is – and the more money you will save!
A high-efficiency furnace has an AFUE over 90%, while a regular furnace is around 80%. In our Canadian climate, where cold temperatures last for many months, investing in a high-efficiency model is definitely worth it. Monthly savings on heat will not only allow you to recoup the difference but will also provide considerable savings afterwards.
Fuel Source
Furnaces use electricity, oil or gas to heat your home. Which fuel is best to use depends on where you live and Expert HVAC Solutions has the best, certified technicians to help you choose the right furnace for your home.
Important Features
Two-stage valves control the flow of fuel. With these valves, when the furnace is first turned on, it will run high, and then on a lower flow to maintain the desired temperature.
Sealed combustion helps protect your house from dangerous carbon monoxide and is also more energy-efficient.
A long-term warranty purchased for an efficient and higher-end model gives you peace of mind and security, providing a more comprehensive warranty than one on a budget furnace. Protect your assets and your home. This is especially true for heat exchangers.
No one wants to come home from a fun winter day to find the house cold and the furnace broken! Don’t wait until the last minute!
Expert HVAC Solutions’ service commitment to you is to provide reliable, professional expertise when you need it the most. We are Calgary’s leading heating and furnace repair experts.
Furnace Repair and Maintenance
From emergency repair to seasonal maintenance, Expert HVAC Solutions’ professional and accredited technicians will provide timely and courteous service at an affordable price. We have a reputation for always putting our clients first, ensuring all their needs are met and this couldn’t be more true for our furnace maintenance and repair services.
Did you know you can reach us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week? Call (403) 274-2621 for furnace repair at any time of the day.
Preventative and seasonal maintenance can save you hundreds of dollars in repairs. When your furnace is bogged down by issues or broken parts, it has to work harder which can result in higher utility costs, as well as damage to the furnace. Identifying the problem early and getting the furnace repaired can cost a lot less than replacing expensive parts or the entire furnace.
Book a maintenance service today with one of our certified, professional technicians. Let us take the worry out of winter!
What will our HVAC technician do during a maintenance?
As part of our service check-up, a technician from Expert HVAC Solutions will perform the following tasks for your indoor unit:
- Ensure the blower assembly is clean and working properly
- Inspect, lubricate, and possibly change the fan motor and fan belt
- Inspect the combustion blower housing and clean if necessary
- Ensure the proper functioning of the evaporator coil, drain pan, and drain lines
- Inspect gas furnaces for any leaks and take any necessary action
- Clean and adjust the burner assembly as needed
- Check the ignition system and safety controls
- Check for the proper function of the heat exchanger and heating elements
- Check the flue system
- Ensure the control box, associated controls/accessories, wiring, and connections are all functioning properly and not damaged
- Inspect and replace air filters
We will also monitor your system while it is operating to make sure it isn’t making any abnormal noises, producing any weird odours, all components are operating at the right temperature and pressure, and you’re getting good airflow.
Zoning Systems
Do you ever get frustrated with different floors of your house being different temperatures? The duct system in your new house can be designed for zoning, and together with a zone system, you can control the heat and air conditioning for each floor independently. Not only do you get the comfort you are looking for, but also save on energy costs!
Here are the benffits of having a zoning system:
Flexibility
Having a zoning system means you have more than one thermostat to control the house temperature. Changing the temperature in one part of the house doesn’t impact the rest of the house’s temperature so you can enjoy the right temperature at the right time, anywhere in the house.
Energy Efficiency
A zoning system will make your HVAC system more energy-efficient. Thanks to the zoning system, you can choose which rooms need heating or cooling. This can be a great way to conserve energy, which will end up saving money throughout the year on your utility bills.
Comfort
Your new zoning system gives you the flexibility of making temperature changes so that everyone feels comfortable. Your teenager will love the fact that they get to keep their room at their comfortable temperature, even if it means cooler than what their parents keep in the family room.
Extended Your HVAC's Lifespan
When you aren’t using your HVAC system 24/7, it will last longer. Having a zoning system means the HVAC will only need to focus on certain parts of your home instead of the entire house.
Is this your home? Hot upstairs and cold downstairs? Then Zoning is the solution!
